Accident and Insurance Claim Accident and Insurance Claim

Dear Lawyers,
This is regarding a minor bike accident made by my brother. Victim was a 60+ year old lady and her leg was injured during this accident. My brother didn't exceed the speed limit, was wearing helmet and had insurance. It was the granny who had crossed the road without noticing the vehicle properly. Though it is miss from both side, the FIR has been filed against my brother. Since we had insurance, the victim's family had applied for an insurance claim. I would like to mention that it was minor incident and the hospital expense might not have crossed even 75000. We are now asked by the insurance team to submit all document and we have noticed the claim amount as 10 lakh. I would like to know is this even possible to quote such a quick number and want would happen if we are not producing the documents. Thanks much in advance
