Defamation compensation

How the amount to be claimed in a defamation case is calculated? If party A can't prove defamation made by B, can the next party B file a defamation case on the basis of defamation case filed by party A as a reason of damage to reputation? If chats done through whatsapp status, can be used as proof of defamation, where one party admits enquiring about other parties character in society?

Yes, the other party may file a case on the basis of your false case, other queries need time, evaluation and proper consulatation to answer.

On the basis of character assassination defamation case may be filed claiming certain amount but if it is dismissed on technical grounds or not providing sufficient evidence then the other party cannot file defamation case on 1st party
