Motor accident without insurance Motor accident without insurance

I had a bike accident 2 yrs ago. My bike's insurance date expired. The other party filed a case 3 months before. Iam asked to appear before MACT court. They claimed for 8 Lakhs. Hospital expense for him was 50,000. Its said tat he undergone bed rest for 6 months. The guy was a mason with 30,000 per month. He had a fracture on toe and left frontal brain hemmorage. Is there any way to close the case without conducting in court? As iam not interested for that. Outside settlement they are demanding huge amount. Is there any way to accept the mistake and let court decide the compensation amount?

A.Dear Sir,
It is better for you go for Court proceedings since you will get lot of time and your personal presence is not necessary. You can go in appeal and get another three to four years. If you want to settle you have to pay not less than Rs. 12 lakhs in the given background.

A.1. engage a lawyer and contest the case,
2. since your vehicle was not insured, so, you are legally bound to compensate the injured,
3. the amount of compensation depends upon the type of injury, loss of earning and expenses on treatment,
4. any FIR registered against you at the time of accident?
