Mother asking maintenance from unmarried daughter

I'm 26 years old , unmarried working women . My father is having job and my mother is housewife. I'm having salary 32k monthly and I have taken personal loan , need to pay emis and my food ,rent etc . I'm giving monthly 10k for my mother for her rent . She is too greedy and now she wants a house for 20k rent . I'm not that much rich . Whenever she asks money I borrow from friends and will give her somehow. My father and I do not own any property. He is also suffering a lot because of her . Now she saying she will go to court and asks for maintaining from me . I want to know , if court believes her side and asks me to pay maintenance ,what will be the monthly amount? .my father is above 60 and he is having a job . Then is it needed that I should pay maintenance ??

A.Dear Madam,
It is the duty of husband to maintain his wife. Since your father is earning as such your mother cannot claim maintenance from you.

A.1 You have not written in your question what your father does. 2 Your mother can recover maintenance from both of you. 3 But more than 10,000 cannot get maintenance.

A.your mother cannot file a case of maintenance against you until your father is alive,
stop making her any payment

According to section 125 1 d of CRPC children are liable for maintenance to father or mother who are unable to maintain themselves

A.You are currently paying Rs.10000 to your mother.If your mother insisting for more money from you can refuse to her.If your mother files any case against you in court , then there shall not be more amount than Rs.10000 shall be ordered by court after final judgement.Therefore you can stop further payment to your mother.
