Dear Sir,

Two employees left working place for two hours without information.

We issued showcause. Received explanation. Explanation not found satisfactory.

Now what action can be taken against them?
Can we suspend them? Can we impose fines? Can we do warning?

Request to have your kind advise please.

Thanking You,

Regards,

mitesh.

A.While issuing show cause notice and when the explanation not satisfactory and your service rules permit, if no service rules model code of service rules or Model standing order , you can impose fine of half days salary, there is no question of warning.

A.Dear Sir,
I am acting a Inquiry Officer for many companies like Wonder la, BESCOM, KSTDC etc in Bengaluru, with this experience I say that, if it is first time mistake then Admonish them and take Bond for Rs.5,000/- or so and let them go. You can impose fine only after departmental enquiry.
