Hello, I need advice how should i proceed with this. My dad own's a house in mumbai since 2003 every paper is on his name only ,but share certificate was not transferred on his name. Now we lost the orginal share certificate of the old owner. Now we need a duplicate share certificate. Below is the current situation 1) Original share certificate is lost by us which was on the name of old owner and not transferred on my dad name since 15 yrs. (that's definitely our mistake) 2) We only have the zerox copy of the share certificate. 3) When we went now to society to transfer the share certificate they are asking to take a legal advice from lawyer. Please suggest what action i should take now so to transfer the share on my dad name and also apply for the duplicate one. Thanks in advance. Regards Amar
