Sir,
I am from Kolkata, buying a flat whose total price is 1.05 crore( this price includes price of property plus GST ). My query is WHILE REGISTERING this flat, registration duty & stamp duty will be calculated on price of property ,or on total price i.e 1.05 crore (which includes GST). To add confusion to this , builder has not separated out this price in sale agreement and has mentioned amount to be paid in each installment...i.e if I have to pay 10 installment, builder mentioned pay Rs 10 lakh 50 thousand. In that case, i may land up paying registration duty & stamp duty on GST paid. How to rectify this problem?

A.Only on the price of the property , that too on market value by Govt. GST can be deducted.
