My friend sent me used mobile through courier from USA, now I got show cause notice from customs that need to pay import duty and for proper documents , I live in telangana, got notice from Mumbai , how to approach them and solve this ,

A.You can Hire a lawyer from Mumbai explain your cause and settle the same either by paying or by not accepting delivery and paying the penalty charges.
Your personal attendance is not compulsory at customs.
