Eligibility issues
Sir,
I am a student pursuing diploma in automobile engineering and I was preparing for the Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) post in the motor vehicle department in Kerala. There a notification from the central government, Notification no. S.O. 1215(E) dated 8th March 2019 regarding minimum educational qualification for Motor vehicle inspector and Assistant Motor vehicle inspector to prevent the jiffy of fake experience certificates provided by workshops for a lucrative deal. The notification states that AMVI's require only tenth standard pass, diploma in mechanical/automobile engineering and a light motor vehicle driving license making the old requirements of a garage experience of one year and heavy duty vehicle license null and void, but there are forces and organizations in Kerala trying to revert back to old eligibility criteria. Many states like Maharashtra have implemented the new notification but there are rumors from the government circles that it won't be implemented by the Kerala public service commission due to political pressure.
I am a very diligent student with fingers crossed that I will make it to the post and I don't have a time period for gaining experience as the recruitment will be this year and I am in my final semester.
I wish to deal with this legally and hope that you can point me the right direction.
Thank You.
Thank You.
