A. Dear Client,
If the LIC Policy is matured without any interruption in payment of regular premium, then the policyholder is eligible for full maturity value as assured in the Policy. Misinformation or misguidance by a licensed/authorized agent to the policyholder in the course of the sale of policy/promotion of insurance business is termed as professional misconduct as per IRDA(Licensing of Insurance Agents) Regulations, 2000. A. Dear Client,
The Hindu Succession Amendment Act, 2005 granted equal rights, duties, liabilities, and responsibilities to daughters that were earlier limited to sons. This also means that the daughter's right to both coparcenary and self-acquired property is legal and cannot be contested in Court. Therefore, it is irrelevant whether her father was alive or not or whether she was married or not on the cutoff date of the amendment i.e, September 9, 2005. However, if the father is alive and has tran ...ReadMore

A. Dear Client,
When you brought the matter of leakage of water to the Society, they are dutybound to attend the complaint of the resident member of the Society. On receipt of common monthly maintenance charges from the resident member of the Society, the status of a registered Society becomes a service provider as defined u/s.2(37)(ii) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the member of the society is termed as consumer as defined u/s.2(7)(ii) of the said Act. A. Dear Client,
If you availed the loan from Chit Fund by signing all the documents blank including a blank cheque or promissory note, then the said documents can be misused against you by the persons operating chit fund and with whom the documents were lying against your loan. If so happens, then on receipt of legal notice, reach out to an Advocate for proper guidance and steps to be taken against the chit-fund company under IPC 406 and 420 for criminal breach of trust and cheating.

A. Dear Client,
Bank or NBFC usually did not approve home loans for purchasing an immovable property through GPA even if it is a freehold property because a GPA cannot transfer the title or interest of an immovable property in favor of the purchaser who applied for a home loan against the said immovable property. In its judgment in 2011, The Supreme Court made it clear that a GPA cannot be used to transfer legal ownership of the real estate. In addition, the Court determined that a power of attorne ...ReadMore

A. Dear Client,
Once the EMI against a loan is not repaid for consecutive 3 times by the borrower for any reason whatsoever, it is treated as NPA. Accordingly, the Bank sends notice to the Borrower asking him/her for repayment of the entire dues lying against his loan offering suitable terms. In the absence of any response from the Borrower, they started the routine process of action prescribed under relevant laws for recovery of debt lying outstanding against the Borrower and the Guarantor includ ...ReadMore
