icon Can I make my individual patta of my property?

We are three sisters. I am younger sister. We have deed but we have not made porcha of our land. Can I make my individual patta of my property?

A. Hello
On the basis of sale deed you have of your share in the property you could get the patta of your land from the revenue department. Although the sale deed is enough to state that you possess complete right over the property but after getting patta from the concerned department your claim over the your share of the property will get stronger.
Thanks.

A. Hi,
It's a matter of trespassing on private property and the arbitrary threat of closing your reputable law office. Please contact the appropriate authorities and provide them with the necessary notification.

A. Its complicated but they do not have much title left in the property as the limitation of 12 years of have already passed. I don't think you need to initiate any action from your side and you should wait for them to take any action and when they do then you need to consult a good property lawyer.

A. See sir, Adultery under Section 497 has been struck down but running away with a married woman under Section 498 is still a crime for which he can be punished. Moreover you can file a case for divorce against your wife on this ground too.

Section 497 in The Indian Penal Code
497. Adultery.—Whoever has sexual intercourse with a person who is and whom he knows or has reason to believe to be the wife of another man, without the consent or connivance of that man, such sexual intercourse not amoun ...ReadMore

icon Property

My late father purchased property in bihar in 1980 in mother's name (to save tax). I have no job since 3 months due to corona time & currently living with 3 dependent in rented house. I want partition

A. Hi,
It cannot be partitioned during the father's lifetime since it is a self-acquired property, as the court ruled in 2019. Since your father is no longer alive, you can file a partition suit to recover your share of the property. You must examine the legal heirs and the persons to whom the property will be allocated with attention.

A. Only because property belong to grandfather does not mean that such property was ancestral property in nature. In 2001 the date of majority was 21 years so you were rightly minor. Now more than 20 years have already expired so any legal course like filing of suit for declaration challenging the sale deed etc would be barred by limitation. The period of limitation in such case is three years only.
