I had lodged an FIR for purse snatching in 2016. Got a notice to appear in court next week. Is it mandatory to attend during the pandemic? What happens if I don't appear?

A. absolutely no need to go to court in pandemic.
Court can issue arrest warrant. In our cases we got issued arrest warrants for not only witnesses and even inspector itself.
court case can wait if it waited for 4 years.
you can give a application/affidavit for the same.

A. offcourse it is a false dowry case. no husband ever said there is true dowry case.
making dowry complaint is made easy but everything after that is not easy and have to be handled properly.
if not handled properly then it will start with arrest.

A. if not registered then individual share is still not decided.
the documents can be used to settlement of share but have to be analyzed.
Civil court have to take decision on division/share of property and until then no construction can be done.

A. There are 2 options.
1 - it can be quashed by high court
2 - it can be allowed by magistrate court also.
It is better if you also make appearance in 2nd option so your signatures can be recorded in court records.

A. first of all, nothing happens by suicide.
Even if you leave note then also she will not be hanged so remove those thought of suicide from your mind.
root cause of suicide/problem have to be finished so no more need of suicide.
now if a girl is using you then definitely she is having something against you but nothing is more than extreme source. file a police complaint or seek help. if nothing work then run away and save your life for now. Things will fall in place after sometime.

A. If you have evidence then IPC 306 can be filed.
she will face criminal charge and if convicted then she will get prison as punishment .
There is no concept of compensation from accused that too from accused family. However the court will impose fine which is given to family of victim. but it will be so less that it will not pay rent for 2 months.

A. Check the correctness of your position i.e., about illegal construction made by him. Take photos of the same, lodge complaint with concerned municipality alongwith his higher officials. If no action is taken, then file writ petition in the High Court seeking direction against the erring officials for demolition of the said illegal construction.
