icon DV Maintenance - wife left job

My wife filed a DV in Feb 2021 and was employed in a firm for 3 years . She resigned job in Jan 2021 on stating personal reasons. and ended her employment in May 2021. She has been working since last

A. no need to worry. all you need is good lawyer to take care of it.
Keep evidence of bank balance and job.
leaving job is not excuse to ask maintenance.
She have to file affidavit for income, assets and liabilities.
instead of you, she have to pa maintenance for kids.

Hey I live at my grandparents house with my parents and siblings . It's been more than 6 yrs since we moved at their place as due to my parents job we never stayed there . Now due to constant threat

A. Hi,
The grandfather can transfer the property to whoever he desires. A grandchild does not have any birth right in the self- acquired property of his grandfather. Domestic violence occurs when an act threatens or jeopardizes the victim's health, safety, or well-being (mental or physical), which involves physical, verbal, or emotional abuse. However, only your mother may request relief under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

A. panic attack or depression does not give any right or excuse to any person to do anything.
Give strict warning to uncle and if still not stop their activities then call police since sister is minor.
police will give her proper medicine for depression.

A. Hi,
Private doctors cannot declare somebody mental especially for judicial purposes. Government doctors only have the authority to do this. You should visit a government doctors and get a medical fitness certificate from him and also lodge a complaint with local police station and keep the documents safe with a confidant. Also, since you are a major you can immediately move out of the house and sue your family under Domestic Violence Act.
