You serve upon then legal notice and ask for detail reason for not paying your dues. They cannot adjust your dues or simply sit on it without giving you written intimation /demand/communication etc.
After that you can proceed with legal recourse with compensation.

As you have already issued notice , you can file civil suit against company and demand your legal claim.
Further pls. check who is the regulatory authority of your company you can seek his intervention also for non compliance of prescribed policies.
If you have resigned online portal then there may you check the status on your resignation.

wait from their side to intimate on extension of notice period then you reply assigning your reason for such problem . After their reply on your representation you can take decision . you have also option to intimate them to adjust your pending unused leave days.
you have always right to defend in court of law however as it is matter of 3-4 days better to resolve this with internal written representation.

A. first of all you should show your willingness to join duties and after joining you can consult to doctor and make request to your head of department giving him entire situation that you are on steroids and have low immunity . let them take action upon it and then contact a lawyer
