No person can be hired as an employee without being given a salary.
During the probation period, an employee is liable to get the salary according to the norms. However, it may be less as compared to the salary of a permanent employee and may not include any perks & other benefits.
Therefore, you are entitled to receive a salary. You can file a counter suit against the company.

Serve them with legal notice to grant you your release letter. You will however, have to serve notice for the period mentioned in your employment contract.
If they are refusing to pay you, you can file a civil money recovery suit.
