A. Dear Client,
Your friend can claim maintenance for her child under section 125 CrPC. In regards to the man in concern, he cant be forced to live with your friend as they aren't married together and he can choose who he wishes to have as his partner. If he has given a false promise of marriage and had intercourse with your friend then the man in concern is liable.
Please consult a lawyer near you to understand your friend's situation better.
Thank you so much, I hope this answer helped you.
marriage breakdown - my ex boyfriend
my ex boyfriend has broken my marriage can i take legal action against him..If I can take action, in which section will there be a case and what will be the punishment on him?

A. Dear client,
Your Ex-boyfriend couldn't have ended your marriage without any poofs and your husband should have also thought about it before ending. In India, there is no such specific law that says it is an offence. But you may file a civil suit against him as there's no possibility that the defendant(your ex) will face criminal penalties or jail time. At worst, the defendant might have to pay a monetary award to you. You can ask him to pay monetary damages based on loss of consortium (marital ...ReadMore

But according to Hindu Law, a married man having an extramarital affair is not allowed. So, it depends upon the knowledge and consent of the wife of the man. If they ...ReadMore

A. Dear Client
In India as per the customary law the caste of the child is designated by the case of the father as we are a patriarchal society. In case of separated couple the caste can be determined by the fact that with whom the child has been residing. Since he is staying with you hence you can request the school to change his caste by providing a copy of the caste certificate obtained from the Tehsildar.

A. Dear Client
This is really awful on the part of a brother to do and act in this manner. Anyways since the said streedhan was replaced with another one hence I do not think the original jewelry remains to be called as streedhan for her.
Let your sister in law file a case to recover the said jewelry then you can defend that in the court of law. If brother does not stop crating nuisance then ask him too leave the house or else you can lodge a police complaint against him.
