A. Dear client,
In the event that you and the tenant have a rent agreement, you may give the tenant a legal notice to vacate the rented property in accordance with the terms of the agreement, failing which you may file an eviction lawsuit against the tenant before the Civil Court, requesting an order for eviction of the tenant. Contact an Advocate for advice and next steps.

A. Dear Client,
The law regarding the requirement of registration for lease/rental agreement vis-à-vis the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 may be summarised to say that a lease agreement is mandatorily registerable if “the lease is from year to year or if the period of lease is more than one year or if the lease mentions yearly rent.” If any of these conditions are applicable to a lease agreement, the same is compulsorily registerable in view of Section 17(1) (d) of the Act. A. Dear Client,
The relationship between a tenant and the landlord is governed by the terms and conditions of a written Rent/lease Agreement. If the terms and conditions of the said agreement did not support your claim, you cannot get any relief in the matter even through litigation. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.

These rights are often governed by landlord-tenant laws, rent control ordinances, or local housing regulations.

If you want to rebuild your property and you have a long-term tenant living there, you may need to follow specific legal procedures to terminate their tenancy or negotiate a mutual agre ...ReadMore

A. Dear Client,

Eviction of tenants through litigation is a lengthy and time-consuming process. Once the matter is subjudice before a C ...ReadMore

A. Dear client,
the simple answer is not straight forward. Generally, the landlord can increase the rent of his property. The landlord can easily increase the statutory rent each year by 4%.
