Usually, there is no fee for police verification, and if the landlord has charged you some amount that might be for the broker who would have got it verified.

Rent agreement expired since 2016 but no new agreement has been done
I had given a building on rent to a bank on a rent of 8000 pm with 5% increase for the next five years from 2011-2016. Thus the rent as of 2016 was 9724 pm. The bank has been paying the same to me til

A. You can demand the increased rent arrears at 5% increase per years as per the terms of previous agreement if you want to renew the leave and license agreement of the bank. However, if bank decides to shift to another place you cannot stop them however based on the agreement if there is any amount in respect of the notice period which needs to be paid than you may request the bank but you cannot claim as the agreement is not actually legally persisting in the current date so even if you want to c ...ReadMore

These rent matters are controlled by local laws so mention the state where you live for better advice. Moreover, the phare "nemo present" means no one was present. Therefore, on your first hearing neither your lawyers were present nor the lawyers of the other party.
Thank you.

A. Dear Client
Its an absurd clause that if you do not stay then what can be done. It is not about staying but about paying the rent for six months. If i take a house on rent and keep paying the rent then regardless of staying or not it is a valid agreement. The landlord seems to seek excuse for not returning the money.
During COVID everyone has been so cooperative and understanding, it is expected the same from him.
