According to the Muslim law the property would be divided among all thr legal heirs equally. It would be suggested to contact a lawyer having understanding of Muslim law in your city. Although its a general rule that daughters have less share in the property as compared to sons and step children doesn't inherit from step parents.

If you are planning to buy that site then to have the clean property you need to have the conveyance deed executed by both the son and the daughter as both of them are legally the owners of the property as per the Muslim law.
