I want to know what kind of offenses usually lead to lie detector test. I also want to know the maximum duration for which the lie detector test may continue. If the concerned person who is subjected to lie detector test is speaking the facts, is the lie detector test any more required. I also want to know if the concerened person is proved to be innocent whether the government may be asked to pay the compensation for spoiling his reputation and his livelihood

A. Dear Sir, The answers to your queries: 1. Generally in criminal matters lie detectors are used. It is general and not specific. 2. The maximum duration, if you want to know of the time for 1 test depends on the queries for which the same has been arranged, or if you want to know of the number of times the lie detaection test can be used, then the answer is 1 but under exceptional circumstances and reasons with permission, it can be don for more than once. 3. The test of the facts spoken is confirmed by the Lie detection only. You only what is fact when you are speking but the same is confirmed by the Test. 4. By doing lie detection test, there is no loss of reputation and livelihood, as because lie detecetion is not carried out publicly. It is done in closed room under the supervision. The more simpler way to understand lie detection test is like: When you submit any photocopy of a document with any one and they want to cross verify the same, they will send it to the concerned department and request for verification. Here, in lie detection test, since your words are the document, the machine verifies it. Hope the above Helps.

The lady my husband was having an affair with started harassing us after the relationship broke up by creating fake accounts on social media in my children’s names who are minor I lodged an FIR against her which got her arrested and later released on conditional bail. Now after the chargesheet she will go to high court to quash the FIR what are her chances of getting punished so that she does not do this again and will a chargesheet show on record for her so that she cannot trouble is in the future

A. Dear Sir, Your question has many parts to be answered. 1. If you do not have an advocate then you need to engage an Advocate. 2. You need to file CAVEAT before the Hon'ble High Court, through that Advocate to get notice of filing from her side. 3. After receiving notice, file a counter and pray for stay on Quashing. There is no surety as such that she will not repeat but if she does you can lodge an FIR against her as"Repeat Offender" and submit the evidences from this. If her guilt is proved, she will be punished heavily.

Is it illegal if I record my conversations without asking participants permission to collect evidence towards workplace harassment? Recently I have recorded multiple audios on my Phone in order to collect evidence against the HR and my manager, who is been forcing me to resign. When I send the evidence to ethics, I have been told that by company director of HR that it is illegal to records conversations without other persons permission. As per my understanding since I was a participant in the conversation. it is not illegal to record the conversation.

A. It is generally illegal to record the conversations but since in this case the same can be adduced as evidence and is against something which wrong has happened then it may be recorded. Since, you have done something which can be proved to state some one else's mistake, then it may not be considered so stringently.
