A. Hi,
You have to contact a lawyer in your state. Every state has its own society act and you have to detail your issue to a lawyer and he can guide you in this matter. It depends upon various factors.

Can a private trust ( registered ) take control of a public temple for its maintainance, upkeep and development

A. Private trust is a trust created for the benefit of individuals other than a public or charitable purpose. It is created for the financial benefit of one or more designated beneficiaries rather than for the public benefit. It is usually governed by the Indian Trusts Act, 1882,as amended up to date so that registered Private Trust cannot take control of a public temple for its maintenance, upkeep and development .

A. Dear Sir,
Normally, there will be no any troubles since you are holding an non-profit post that is the post of secretary and it cannot be hit by provisions of Advocates Act. You may see the provisions of Advocates Act and recent rules framed by Bar Council of India.
