Subordinate Courts: Its a generic term meaning any court which is lower than the referred superior court. For example all the High Courts, District and other courts are subordinate to the Supreme Court and all the District Courts and other lower courts are subordinate to the High Court. District Subordinate courts, on the civil side (in ascending order) are, Junior Civil Judge (JCJ) Court, Principal Junior Civil Judge Court, Senior Civil Judge Court (also called sub-court). District Subordinate courts, on the criminal side (in ascending order) are, Second Class Judicial Magistrate Court, First Class Judicial Magistrate Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
