I am 30 years old, Hindu, living abroad. I am alone in my family - no parents & siblings. I have a mother but she remarried many years ago & we have limited relations.

I got married in 2022 with the help of my maternal uncle. I and my wife have been together for only 45 days. (As I do not have a house in India, so, we spent 21 days at my maternal uncle's house, 4 days at my father-in-law's house, and 20 days for honeymoon).

After marriage, I caught twice my wife's past sexual relationships with proof. When I asked my wife, she confessed but told the whole thing in a roundabout way. I forgave my wife considering it all a past relationship. After staying in India for 45 days, I came abroad and my wife went to her father's house for resting (since then she is there).

Then after coming abroad, I came to know with more evidence that my wife had physical relations with more than 6-7 boyfriends before marriage. Even after marriage, my wife continued to talk to and meet two boyfriends who were already married else. Also, my wife was engaged to a boy before me, they also had sex many times. That engagement was broken. My wife and her father took 10 lakhs and gold ornaments from that person to break the engagement. I have all the proof about these. Whenever I asked about all this, she lied and threatened me.

After all these hidden lies came to the fore, my wife came to know that I will definitely divorce her now. So, she filed false cases against me, my maternal uncle's family, and my mother's family.

They want money from me but I do not want to give a single penny.

I want to fight against such fake, liars with perverted mindset. So, what can I do legally?

A.It's important to seek legal advice from a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction as the laws and procedures vary by country and state.

Here are some steps you can take:

Consult with a lawyer: It's essential to consult with a lawyer who specializes in family law in your country or state. They can advise you on your legal options, such as filing for divorce, filing a counter-claim, and how to handle the false cases filed against you.

Collect evidence: Collect all the evidence you have about your wife's past relationships and the false cases filed against you. Evidence can include photos, text messages, emails, and any other documentation that supports your case.

File a complaint: If you believe your wife has filed false cases against you, you can file a complaint with the police or take legal action against her.

Seek counseling: Going through a divorce can be emotionally challenging. Consider seeking counseling or therapy to help you cope with the stress and emotions associated with the divorce.

Be prepared for a legal battle: Fighting a legal battle can be time-consuming and expensive. Be prepared for a long and challenging process, and make sure you have enough resources to see it through.
