A. If you have certain violence upon you be virtues of emotional, physical or mental cruelty you should file Domestic violence proceedings against them and also claim maintenance for yourself and your child. You can also file for divorce. In case of any abnormal behaviour and harmful actions you should approach local police station and file criminal case which would strengthen your purpose.

My wife lodged an f.i.r. u/s 498a, 377, 323, 504, 506 and 3,4 of the d.v. act. Meditation process is going on. Due to lockdown court is closed and mediation dates is not going to happen in few months.

With regards to your doubt I will like to answer in two parts as follow:-
1)- with regards to the cancellation of the FIR, you need to first inform your mediator about your mutual decision and complete the mediation at the present stage itself.
