A. Dear Sir,
You may get issue a legal notice and after that you may approach IT Department for amending your returns if filed wrongly.

A. Hi,
You will have to pay the entire amount mentioned in the notice. There are no such rules which would exempt you from paying them.

This can be resolved by the tax authorities, you will need to try and contact them.
If this does not resolve the issue, you will have to file a writ petition in the High Court.

Rectification of error in Form 26AS depends on the cause of the error. However, you can approach your employer/deductor to file a revised TDS return after making the necessary corrections.

1. As you will be taking possession of the property within a year of selling your current apartment, you will be entitled to the exemption.
