I have filed 498 case against husband but police is not filing chargesheet even after a year of fir registered, i doubt if police has been currupt as mu husband has filed divorce agianst me n gotbthe bail.also, what should i do?

A.Your doubt is factually incorrect. You can approach high court by way of WRIT.

A.Hi Archana garu, there is no time limit for filing charge sheet in 498a cases, but if there is urgency or requirement, we can file a writ petition before the Hon'ble high Court seeking direction to file charge sheet. then the police are bound to follow, else they will be liable for contempt of the court.

A.If police is taking any action then you can get FIR registered by filing appropriate application before concerned court of law. The court will look after the action taken by the police.
