Rent payment in notice period

My rent payment cycle is on 11th of every month. I have given the one month notice for intent to vacate on 19th august. Now the landlord says that i am obligated to pay the rent for september too as 11th sept comes under the notice period(19th aug to 19th sept). Is it so that i have to pay the entire sept month rent of can we pay for those 8 days(11th to 19th sept) on pro rata basis?

A.Hi both parties are bound by agreement clause. Check the month cycle period for start and end dates mentioned in agreement./ agreement comencment date .then as per that date your montly rent period will be calculated . Rent payment date doesnot matter.

A.Another alternative is to simply follow what's written in the termination clause of your rental agreement.
A termination clause legally obligates both, the tenant and the landlord to do what's written in the rent agreement.
Therefore, if the termination clause in your rental agreement states that either party has to provide a 2-month notice period, both parties are legally bound to do so.

A.1. you are required to pay for the notice period i.e. from the date of notice to next one month,
2. if the date of notice given by you is 19 august then you are liable to pay till 18 September only,
2. if the date of notice given by you is 19 august then you are liable to pay till 18 September only,
