Signature on back dated document

I have purchase a flat in noida extension
Possession already dealyed and now buider taken our sign on back dated physical possession letter dated 03rdsep2020 (flat registry carried out on 3rdsep2020)but actual physical possession date is 25thsep2020
Is this is correct why he is taking sign in back date when registry is carried out

A.Hi,
It is not right to take signature in back dated docs and in addition, sale deed and sale agreement should be examined properly.
