Flat notice period in Pune

As per our rental agreement, I gave flat vacate notice to my landlord on 20th Aug and vacated the flat within notice period of 30 days, i.e. before 20 sept..But my owner is arguing 1 month notice means it starts from 1st of month, so I will have to pay rent for whole month, not just 20 days
, Nothing of this sort is mentioned in agreement..can experts please share their views on this

A.Dear client make a silent amicable settlement if conflict arose it leads to rent control court time money, energy, unnecessary pendency of delay occurs. Settle through words. Regards NITHYANANDAN.S
