I took an education loan I took an education loan

I took an education loan for my higher studies in abroad, with my father as a co-applicant. Over this last one year, my family has fell apart. We are going through some extreme times as we found that my father had an affair for many years. Now, he has confiscated all my documents and is threatening to kick my mom and brother out of our house. Due to this, I’ve stopped paying my loan instalments, as I want to go home and seek legal advice. I’m worried that if I pay and clear the loan, he’ll sell the house and my family won’t have anywhere else to go. He is harassing them everyday and now the bank is threatening to report me to the embassy. I’ve paid 6 lakhs until now and I’ve stopped paying few months ago. Please share some genuine advice that can save us. Thanks.

A.Respected client,

You might want to report abuse and harassment by your father. The loan issue will be subsequently taken under the family court.
