I live in a villa society in karnataka. I became a member of mygate when the builder asked to do so. I got a bill of about 82000 saying about 71000 is arreers. It comes from a mygate email with no reply address. They say that there will be a fine to be paid if I delay the payment. It says I need to approach the society office for any clarification. There is no bank account given no address from which it came. Theyre may be an association but I am not a member of it (At least no one contacted me officially till
now). Dont they have to send me a bill officially to my address? Do I have to pay the fine ? Is it not their duty to inform me of forming of an association? It is not compulsory that there should be an election to the office bearers?
You don't need to pay any amount to anybody. Let them send you warnings. If they proceed with legal remedies, you have an edge over them as your proper details were furnished for the same.
