How to stop bank auction

Hello, we have pledged our land and house document and received a loan 3 years back. We applied it along with a guy who said will partner us with his auto loom company and repay the loan within 1 year. But he cheated on us and absconded with 75% of the loan amount. He has cheated many others in same way and we have all given complaint to arrest him. However there is no action taken from police. Two days back our property has been listed for eauction and we got information that a bidder has paid money. Please advise how to do we stop this auction sale activity.
