A.Get in touch with an Advocate to obtain anticipatory bail asap. Criminal Prosecution u/s.498A would continue following the provision of relevant law may be for couple of months. Untill and unless the charges are proved in the respective Court and an order of conviction is passed against you, you will not be treated as an accused in the eye of law and your police record shall remain afresh without any stigma.
