I did called them and told that my child doesn't need the it but I did that in 17 days so I should get a partial amount but today after so many days they called me and said that I will not get my refund and the subscription will continue for 1 year (I took 3 year course). What should I do please tell.

A.Dear client
You may lodge a complaint against the institute to the relevant District Consumer Court and ask for a tuition return as well as damages for harassment. Within two years of the date the cause of action arose, a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 must be filed with the Consumer Court.

If the amount of fees is refundable on cancellation of course after admission, then the denial of that even in the absence of any refundable clause and when the service is not availed of by the consumer, amounted to unfair trade practice on the part of the Institute. You can file a complaint against the institute before the concerned District Consumer Court claiming a refund of tuition fees along with compensation for harassment. A complaint under Consumer Protection Act, 2019 is required to be filed before the Consumer Court within two years from the date of the cause of action.
