I was promised variable pay to be given at the end of 12 months. I completed my 12 months in Nov 2022 and HR now is not even responding to my request emails. I am still employed with the company and they are giving lame excuses that company is working on to file an IPO and can not pay right now but all verbal and nothing in writing. Its a substantial amount of 2 lakh

A.Dear Client,
If the Company verbally promised you for payment of variable pay after the end of 12 months, then you cannot claim that payment after the expiry of said period as a matter of right in absence of any specific stipulation in your offer letter or contract of employment. So, at the moment you got no remedy to resolve the issue even through litigation.

A.Dear client,
You can send a legal notice to your employer mentioning to clear the variable pay. If he does not reply to this, then you can file a recovery suit against your employer.
