A.Dear Client,
In case of default in repayment of credit card dues as per the condition of repayment, Bank/FI started a routine course of action permitted under relevant laws for recovery of dues/debt lying outstanding against you. Both Supreme Court and Regulatory Authority, RBI issued orders/advisories refraining Banks and FI strictly from taking any coercive or forceful action deploying the recovery agents to recover the dues from the defaulter credit card holders. Being a defaulter of repayment of credit card dues, in case you are getting such kind of threat calls or messages from recovery agents or any unknown entity, you need to get in touch with an Advocate with all your papers/document for guidance and for taking necessary steps to resolve the issue in accordance with the provision of relevant laws. So in the prevailing situation, you need to file a complaint or general diary(GD) to the local for harassment by recovery agents of the concerned Band and inform in writing to the concerned Bank and its higher authority. and thereafter a complaint under the RBI integrated Ombudsman scheme, 2021. shall be made online on the portal (https://cms.rbi.org.in). The complaint is to be made to the Ombudsman within one year after the complainant has received the reply from the concerned Bank to the complaint or, where no reply is received, within one year and 30 days from the date of the complaint.
