Driving school filing defamation, damages & compensation case for Google review

Dear internet, my relative hired a driving school to learn driving, but was left with a very bitter experience, the school did not give classes properly, went back on some of the services they had promised, I have WhatsApp conversations that prove their bad management. This led us to writing a bad Google review, our friends and family who heard this story also left bad reviews for this driving school. The school then reached out and told us they will meet our needs and comepsated us for the last two classes that they were refusing to provide with a doorstep service. The compensation/ completion of their classes with doorstep was taken. Now post this , they are wearing and threating us, our family and friends of spreading wrongful information and filing a case as per the damages and compensation criminal law. Friends and family made edits to the review and have clearly stated that the review is based on the experience has by us and it is not a first hand experience. Even after having made the edit they are continuing to warn and threaten us with legal for defamation and loss of business to all our friends and family including us. Is this right ?
