If someone has taken your video and morphed it and is demanding money, you may be a victim of a video or photo blackmail scam. Here are some steps you can take:

Record the conversation or video call rather than just taking screenshots. If the offender is blackmailing on a video call, screen record it.

Remove the video if it is uploaded to a sharing website. Most scammers use YouTube to upload videos, but the steps will be similar no matter where it ends up. The video needs to be flagged as inappropriate or violating community guidelines.

Inform the police in the first instance if the blackmailer threatens you to make a morphed video or any sensitive personal video public. You can also file a case under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act 2000 against the blackmailer for circulating videos to defame an individual.

Do not comply with requests. Avoid complying with the demands and requests made by the blackmailer to threaten you. Doing so will land you in trouble and the blackmailer will carry out his motive.
