society share transfer - 25k society share transfer - 25k

Dear SME, (subject matter expert),

The society has agreed to transfer the shares under my name after father's death 2 years ago. The delay happened as the society lawyer insisted on succession certificate. The society took opinion of another lawyers and agreed to transfer the shares on my name without succession certificate based on opinion of another lawyer. The society is asking the following fees:

25 thousand transfer fees
2500 for lawyer opinion

When I asked the office manager to provide the above in writing, she refused by saying that all transfer in the society is happening without any written notice.

Pls clarify as per the society bye-laws the nominee has to pay 25k during share transfer. What is the easy was to resolve this issue. Your prompt reply is appreciated.

A.Dear Sir,
If you wish the property/ shares transferred in your name you are supposed to pay such amount because if you in litigation it may be time consuming and expensive.
