Dual employment issue Dual employment issue

Hello team,
This is with regards to my employment with Wipro BPS, i joined wipro on 17/may/2018 & was put on bench from 9/nov/18 till 8/dec/18 due to process rampdown.. I put down my papers at wipro & forward my resignation mail to HR, email dt 5/dec/18. Basis the terms of employment, while on bench, the notice period is of 1 day. So i joined another company on 24/dec/2018.
But Wipro gave me the exit date 13/01/2019 on my EPFO account as well. And now my dates are overlapping because of this.
What should I do?

A.Dear Client,

When transitioning to another company, it is essential to tender your resignation and obtain a relieving letter from your previous employer. However, overlapping service records can occur. Background verification (BGV) checks, a common practice among organizations, aim to verify the accuracy of information provided by candidates during the hiring process. Verifying EPFO records through the Universal Account Number (UAN) is crucial for background checks, as it ensures that employees are not using false or stolen identities for employment.

In case of a negative background verification check, an employer may reject the employment of a candidate. To address the issue of overlapping PF records between two employers, it is advisable to approach the office of the Regional PF Commissioner. This authority can resolve anomalies arising from discrepancies in the date of appointment and date of discharge in EPF records.

To correct PF member details, a joint declaration form is commonly used. Both the employee and employer sign this form, submitting it to the regional PF commissioner to rectify inaccuracies in the employee's PF account. If there are issues related to overlapping service or dual employment in EPF records, individuals can file a complaint using the EPF i-Grievance Management System (https://epfigms.gov.in/).

By collaborating with both your previous and current employers and successfully rectifying any discrepancies in your EPF records, you can restore clean employment records. This ensures that your employment prospects with other companies remain unaffected by the stigma of overlapping service.

A.Dear Client,
Before joining another Company you are required to tender your resignation and to obtain a relieving letter from the earlier company that eventually caused the overlapping of service. Further, Background verification(BGV) check is a process many organizations carry out in order to verify the information provided by the candidate during hiring. Verification of EPFO records through UAN is a critical process for conducting employee background checks because it allows employers to confirm that their employees are not using false or stolen identities to gain employment. In case of a negative background verification check an employer can even reject the employment of the candidate. In the given situation, to resolve the issue of overlapping in the P F records of both employers, you need to approach the office of Regional P F Commissioner who is the competent authority to resolve any anomaly arising out of date of appointment and date of discharge in EPF records. A joint declaration form is used to correct Provident Fund (PF) member details. It is a combined form that the employee and employer jointly sign and submit to the regional PF commissioner to update the wrong information entered in the employees’ PF accounts. An individual can file a complaint using the EPF i-Grievance Management System (www. https://epfigms.gov.in/). Once you succeed in wiping out the stigma of overlapping or service or dual employment from your EPF records with the cooperation of your previous and present employer, your scope of employment with other companies will be restored with clean employment records.
