What will be the name of the mother on birth certificate and aadhar card of the child if single father is adopting a child.

A. Hi,
The local registrar notified under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (18 of 1969) shall issue the birth certificate in favor of an adopted child on an application filed by the Specialised Adoption Agency or adoptive parents, incorporating the names of the adoptive parents as parents. Sir, Can a child, who was adopted without proper legal procedures, claim property of his adoptive parents after their death. But, in aadhar card, school record & horoscope of the child, the adoptive

Posted 5 months ago

A. Hello
As per the law the child must be adopted in front of some witness for a valid adoption. if there are witnesses who says you guys adopted the child then it would be considered as a valid adoption and it doesn't matter if he was adopted without proper legal procedure. Therefore the adopted child could claim property of his adoptive parents.
Thanks.

Can adoption be cancelled? If so, who can cancel it?

Posted 5 months ago

A. Dear Sir,
Once made, an adoption order cannot be undone except in an extremely limited set of circumstances. It is possible to appeal an order before it is put into practice, but that is different to revoking an order that has been implemented.
