Original Property Documents lost by IDBI Bank Original Property Documents lost by IDBI Bank

Hello,
I was having housing loan from IDBI Bank. I closed the home loan by all the dues last year (March/ 2019). Since then i was trying to get my property documents. Eight months I have been informed by the IDBI that all the original documents are lost in the fire occurred at SHCIL, Mumbai and now the bank is in the process of getting certified true copies from the registrar. But that too is taking huge time.
What are my options here? Please suggest.
Thanks!

A.Dear Sir,
You can apply and get certified copies and an endorsement from the bank about the incident and copy of FIR which are sufficient for you to go ahead and also claim huge compensation as they might received insurance in lumpsum.

A.In my opinion if the bank informed you that the original title document deposited by you with the bank has been burnt , then obtain an acknowledgement to the effect from the concerned bank in writing. And you should also insist that to the bank file a complaint with the police regarding the burnt of original title documents and provide the copy of the same.
Otherwise you can lodge a complaint to the police station .
Once you have filed the FIR, you will need to publish an advertisement in an English daily newspaper and in any regional newspaper about the loss of property documents.

Otherwise you can also approach the banking ombudsman or consumer court to seek redressal.
But without detail discussion proper consult is not possible.

A.Firstly you made application before the appropriate authority of IDBI bank for provide original documents of subject to matter of property and NOC for paid entire lone amount to bank and then asked about fired First Information Report lodged by the bank from the bank and taken such declaration from the bank that the original documents of bank has been destroyed though fire and then you apply duplicate documents of the said property from registrar and keep safely. Secondly you lodged the F.I.R. against the bank Manager for not providing the original documents of property and for misuse of paper if any which was handover at the time of taken lone.

A.Hi Nishant,

1. Getting certified true copy from the registrar office is a matter of 3-4 days work, please try directly after the lockdown.
2. For such delay and lost, you should move a consumer complaint
