Can my company mark my day as half day for 20 minutes deficiency and make wage for the day 50% less ? I work in a bpo company my per day productivity time is 8 hours in minutes its 480 minutes if I unable work 20 minutes that's mean my productive time is 460 minutes 96% productivity if I'm giving 96% productive time then how could they give me 50% wage for the day ? Is it legal in India? I wants your legal opinion..please help

A.Employee has no bargain power and no voice. If you argue the legality and question them then you will be harassed till you voluntarily resign. Try to understand slavery.... and its rules and regularities. Indians mostly the software Engineers becoming slaves in MNCs. Take wise decision.

A.Yes, late mark is the rule followed by most of the offices & institutes in India. Even 5 minutes late, is marked as Half day. While 3 late marks count for 1 day off. This rule is prevailing for the punctuality of time. But some offices relax this norms if you stay to complete you DESK WORK assigned to you. i.e. If you stay late after your normal timings to complete your work provided for that day or if it is a important work & you have completed it on same day due to your devotion towards the work.
