I had a baby girl in 2011 ... After birth also they harassed me a lot .. by not sending me to my mom's house and not letting me to talk to them .. it was horrible and they continued to do the same for 2 yrs ... Later I got separated in 2014..But we still stay in the same house.. in laws stay in ground n we stay in first floor of same building... Even though they still do the same....I have baby boy in 2016 ... Waiting patiently for them to change their behaviour... but they didn't. ... Both my FIL n MIL harrasing me by spoiling my reputation in public , ... Using vulgar language.. now they threatening me and my hubby that they will throw away us from the House and instead they are black mailing us that they will file a case against us by not taking care for elders or his parents... .. I am so tired now.. feeling to die.... Lost everyhope ... . i don't know what to do... cause nobody is there to support mee.. cause they torturing n blackmailing their own son ...i am unable to understand what will happen to my kids ...Please do the needful

A.Dear Madam,
In these days MIL and SIL are running pillar to post because of afraid of their DILs. File 498A ipc and DV case with the consent of your husband, only against them. They will understand your power and fell on your feet.

PROCEDURE TO FILE DV CASE BY WOWEN
Now the law is on women’s side, with the Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act (2005), the Indian Law has come to realize that there are multifaceted problems faced by women in domestic affairs. This Act protects women, helps women, and also provides safety to women economically, physically and mentally. When a woman files an FIR against her abuser, she gets immediate help from the police and there is no delay in nabbing the criminal. Now, a woman does not have to go through a battery of cross questioning where her integrity is put to question, she is legally in the position of power and her needs are met first.
We tend to ignore the fact that help is needed from both sides. The abuser needs to go for psychological counseling and should have anger management therapy, while the victim needs counseling to regain her sense of self and individuality, to make her more independent and self-assured. Being an extremely aggressive individual with no control over your emotions does not have to be your destiny, it can be stopped with the application of the right methods and getting the right help.

A.Before proceeding further, we would request you to be very clear in you allegations against your in laws. You have not mentioned anything about your husband and why he is not helping you out in this situation. Of course there is a law of domestic violence to safeguard married woman from domestic violence from husband or his relatives. It is better to apply for conciliation/mediation before proceeding legally against your husband's parents.
