Joining Agreement Joining Agreement

I have been offered from a company for a job and they have compelled me to sign joining agreement in which it is mentioned that I should join the company on or before 6th Apr 2020. That agreement states that, I should pay 3.5 lakhs+ interest failing to join in the mentioned date. The company is located in another state. Due to COVID19 pandemic / lockdown, I'm unable to travel to this company to join from Mar 22, 2020. But I have requested several times for online joining which they didn't agree. Almost 4 months passed, but still I could not get ePass since I'm from Tamil Nadu which is COVID Hotspot.
Now I'm not interested to join this company and would like to look for other opportunities. Is there any Pandemic law, which can void this agreement?

A.Yes, Due to this pandemic situation of COVID-19, it is very clear that you cannot join the said company.. Don't worry take up new job in New company. This company will not be able to do anything legally for 3.5 lakhs+ interest failing to join in the mentioned date as situations is naturally out of your control. Relax..
