Care of mentally ill mother

My mother has been suspecting my father of extramarital affair from past 1 year,though he doesn't have any. Only now we got to know that she is suffering from Schizophrenia and that is why she wasn't convinced with anyone. She had a violent psychotic episode and we got her admitted to hospital on doctors suggestion. Now my sister is threatening to file case against us for forcefully and falsely admitting my mother. Doctor has suggested us to seek legal help as he thinks that my mother and sister might file case against us and hospital on her discharge. Please guide how can we avoid any legal charges when our intention is only safety of my severely I'll mother.

A.1st of all I want to advice you that Schizophrenia is curable if you go to a good doctor .if your mother get well soon than may be she will not file than your sister have no right to file case against you .your sister is taking benefit of your mother ,s illness. Your sister cannot file case because in court firstly your sister and your mother have to prove that you have forcefully admitted your mother in hospital.

A.Gather medical records stating her condition that she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, and had psychotic episode. There are no grounds for your sister to file a case against you.

You will have to collect evidence, so that even if it is not an empty threat you are able to handle the same.

A.Nothing to worry. Get issue a false divorce notice to your mother and a copy to be marked to your sister saying she is supporting your mother and committing cruelty and threaten to lodge complaint against her also.
