How can i recollect money from my friend?

I gave 3 lakh amount to my friend. Promised to return amount in a month, he made a hand loan agreement in 2019 october. I asked him, he did not pay . He said he spent amount on his gf cum future wife staying other city and his roommate friend staying with him. He is speaking with his gf regularly in phone. I also get that information he spent on her. Now what shall i do? How can i get money from him? Shall i file a criminal case on three or on my friend only in a police station or file civil case in court on three ? Give me best way to get money.

A.Best way is to recover money in polite way if required visit his home and informe his family members about loan. request them to help you in recovering loan amount.
If agreement is signed by him or you have any other prof of giving money you can file recovery suit.
Go through police is very expensive. I this case police can not register Fir because you have as loan. If money stolen ,some one cheated you then police can register fir and make a criminal case

A.1. you can serve him a legal notice through a lawyer to make payment of the outstanding amount along with the interest,
2. if payment is not made despite service of the legal notice, you can file a civil suit for the recovery of the amount,
3. chat, call records, WhatsApp record, if relevant, can prove your case and are admissible as an evidence
