I seek your help and suggestion to come out of a problem. My daughter yesterday got a phone and sms claiming to be from Amazon that she has been selected for a reward. To qualify she must make another additional purchase worth Rs5000/ When she made the purchase and informed them ,she was asked to make the purchase through paytm portal. After qualifying for the reward, she was asked to amke a GST payment which will be subsequently reimburse for Rs 22000/.Then they said that the amount has not been received and to make the payment again. She made the payment again and when they siad that the amount has been reimbursed, nothing came and later on the phones are not being lifted. The payments were made by NEFT through SBI&Kotak portals to a PAYTM a/c.Is there anyway to retrieve the amount.

A.so that means only GST amount paid twice is loss. then the loss is not more than 2-3000.

usually nothing happens in these cases and thats the reason they are happening for so long.

only thing someone can do is to file FIR and then report to paytm to block that account.
usually those paytm accounts are closed immediately after getting money so paytm can not recover and refund.
