Death claim is supposed to be rejected
Dear Sir/ Madam
My father passed away due to covid on 31st July 2020. Hence I raised Term insurance Death Claim in TATA AIA which is under process from 8-9-2020 it is early claim as policy was applied n 17/1/2020 . Now the problem is, Investigator says we had not declared about previous hospitalization about Acute Pancreatitis. And before applying with TATA AIA we had applied with Birla that claim got rejected even after stating about his hospitalization. But I have a audio proof where in I have clearly mentioned the insurance agent during the filling of Proposal form that My father was hospitalized for Pancreatitis on 15-02-2019 , Birla application is rejected also mentioned the motive of buying this claim was - To support our Home loan which unfortunately did not succeed because of Lockdown.
Even after that the agents has not mentioned this in the form and has written negative response while filling the online application on 17-01-2020. Also the customer declaration form was not signed on same day to recheck all details ,it was signed on 20/01/2020. The proposal form printed in policy document is not clear or readable as 2 pages are printed on single page. It seems 99% rejection possibilities but my father has been truthful and honest and had faith that what ever is told to the agent same is been filled on online form. Even the agent has not submitted online form the same day it is submitted on 18-01-2020 that is next day. Where is seems questionable to me. I see Insurance agent fraud done hence I request you to help me in knowing what best I can do to protect the claim in my favor. We have lost our bread earning person this insurance is ray of hope for our living and future. Please help us with this 1% chance to get the claim Pass.
If rejected approach banking ombudsman or consumer forum.
