Hello there We are From andhrapradesh and settle in coimbatore , Tamilnadu permanently My mother tongue is telugu. I cannot read tamil just can understand. I am looking to buy a plot and construct house in gated community projects. I have contacted few builders too and requested them to provide documents necessary for sale deed and registration in english and I said clearly I will take legal opinion and then only if everything is genuine in documents I will buy .They said ok first now they are saying they are having legal book in tamil only. But what can I do I dont know that language. So is it impossible to buy a property for non local people if they do not know native language of that state? Or is there any solution for it like hiring translation services or anything else ? Kindly let me know . Thanks.

A.Hi,
You can ask the builder to give a translated deed or get the contents verified by a lawyer before signing anything.

A.Hi,
You can ask the seller to give you a translated deed. If he is unable to provide then it is advisable to contact the local municipal for the land details.
